GBHS wins first beach volleyball match

Lady Dolphins take three out of four against Catholic

Jason Thompson/Gulf Breeze News Gulf Breeze High School ­hosted its first ever beach ­volleyball match April 12 at the recently completed beach ­volleyball courts next to the Gulf Breeze Community Center.

GBHS hosted Catholic, with Gulf Breeze winning three of the four matches, which are best two of three to 21, with a third game, if needed, to 15.

Gulf Breeze will host­several more matches against local schools in the coming weeks.

The results from the match were as follows:

1) Maddie Grace McCurdy/ Olivia Hepworth (GB) d. Ellen Floyd/Whitney Kay Weldon 21- 12, 21-12

2) Terra Warrington/Margaret Richardson (CHS) d. Anna Marks/ Gracie Snider 21-18, 21-18

3) Emme Ledbetter/Terra Walck (GB) d. Mary Galloway/ Courtney Shrout 21-14, 13-21, 15-10

4) Olivia Vassiliades/Milly Ladner (GB) d. Zoie Johnson/ Kylie Thomas 21-11, 21-14
